Rock André is the Founder and Director of CEDEL HAITI – Center for Entrepreneurship and Leadership in Haiti, a social venture launched in 2012, to assist existing and aspiring entrepreneurs with training and consulting services.
Rock holds a Master’s Degree in Entrepreneurship, a Master’s Degree in Agricultural Economics and a Bachelor in Economics/Development Studies.
Rock André devotes a significant amount of his time to the entrepreneurial education of the youth in Haiti. With his guidance, CEDEL HAITI organizes every year, for 7 years already, a large Annual Entrepreneurship Forum targeted mostly young people.
On February 2017, CEDEL HAITI launched, under his leadership, a network of entrepreneurship clubs in High schools in Haiti.
Rock received several awards for his work, for instance: “Social Entrepreneur of the Year”, in 2012 at Oklahoma State University, “Young Americas’ innovator” in 2014 (Recognition given by the InterAmerican Development Bank at its Annual General Assembly in 2014, “Ten Outstanding Young People (TOYP), in 2016”.
Rock teaches the « New Venture Creation » Course at University Quisqueya. He is the Co-Founder of Pot’iwa Pizza, a restaurant specialized in Haitian authentic flavored pizza, launched in 2015 in Pétion-Ville. Rock is also a partner at Mannitòks, a business that facilitates online payments and online transactions to improve financial inclusion in Haiti.
Under his leadership, CEDEL HAITI has launched a #trashtocash movement to help clean Haiti, save the environment while sustaining businesses to create wealth. Rock is regular speaker in events focused on Entrepreneurship.
