June 14, 2019 [Port au Prince, Haiti] The Haiti Tech Summit is pleased to announce that the United Nations Foundation will be joining the 3rd Annual Summit as a sponsor and launcher of the Haiti Tech Summit’s Health Innovation Hub. The United Nations Foundation’s works to build communities and incubate initiatives to support the UN and its priority issues, including achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The UN Foundation’s Clean Cooking Alliance and Global Health teams will be featured on the “Innovation and the SDG’s“panel to present the work they are supporting Haiti’s health and environment sector including opportunities to invest in the future of Haiti’s sustainable development,
Speakers Sabine Bernard – Senior Associate, Malaria United Nations Foundation and Dave Fils-Aime, Haiti Project manager, Clean Cooking Alliance, United Nations Foundation will discuss how the United Nations Foundation along with their developmental partners are implementing innovative approaches using technology to help Haiti accelerate towards achieving the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals. These approaches include innovative technology solutions that is helping advance malaria elimination in Haiti and the use of multi-faceted strategies to increase access to clean cooking solutions.
